Habitat for Humanity in Haiti

The devastating earthquake in Port-au-Prince Haiti destroyed the lives of thousands of families already living below the poverty line.  Habitat for Humanity, already actively building homes in the country, stepped in to provide immediate disaster relief and temporary shelter for those who lost everything.  Since January 2010 Habitat has helped more than 27,000 families-135,000 people-find shelter and relief in their time of need. Habitat Inland Valley donated nearly $10,000 to Haiti last year, thanks to the generous donations of our local community and international tithe.  To find out more about what Habitat is doing in Haiti, read the Habitat Haiti Second Quarter 2011 Update.
