Habitat Way
Located in Old Town Temecula, the five-home Habitat Way development, completed in 2008, was the result of a partnership between Habitat and the City of Temecula Redevelopment Agency. The $1.2 million-dollar project was made possible by financial assistance from the Redevelopment Agency, corporate house sponsors, and significant contributions of labor and materials from over 120 donors. Added to that was the help of hundreds volunteers who worked thousands of hours on the project.
Five families now call Habitat Way home – all living in 1,100 square-foot, three bedroom and two bath Craftsman-style houses.
Planning is currently underway for Phase 2 of the development which will add an additional four houses on lots directly adjacent to the existing five. The building phase is anticipated for 2013 – 2014.
